Happy 9 Months!

9 months already, my sweet little 19 pound baby!

8.5 months

You've been on earth side longer than you were inside me. This month has been a blast and given us a glimpse into the future.

Your bottom two teeth are completely out and you're already working on your top two. Again, it doesn't seem to be bothering you much until at night.

You had your first cold last week. A runny nose and a cough. I took advantage of it and made sure to give your extra snuggles and naps.

You haven't started crawling yet but you're definitely working on it and get around scooting in the meantime. You like to scoot up to something and then try to pull yourself up to standing. I can't believe you're already so close to walking but it makes me excited - will you be mischievous with your independence? You are definitely a curious one.

Go Braves!

Your appetite has definitely picked up in the last couple weeks. You've been introduced to so many new flavors! You are happy to eat your food but it makes you really happy when we share our food with you. Almost there! And when it comes time to nap or bedtime, you want to nurse. We still have that. When you're overwhelmed or you fall and bump your head, you'll ask to nurse. And then you calm down, smile and go back to playing. It's the sweetest.

Road snacks

You sleep happiest in bed between us. Sometimes spreading your arms wide as if you're trying to touch us both. We're like a little family of squirrels all snuggled up together. And then sometimes I get a foot in the face or my nose grabbed. We enjoy it all.

You love Windy. You squeal whenever she walks into the room or you hear her coming. She watches you play and patiently lets you pet/grab/pull her. If she doesn't like it she just gets up and leaves quietly.

Still life

No first words yet - you've got a mhhhmmmmaaaaaaa and when we talk to you all your attention is focused on our mouths and I can see your little tongue moving trying to imitate me.
He loves the ocean - kept jumping the whole time!

Soon you'll be talking and running.
