11 Months

My sweet, little buddy. We had made plans of neighborhood fall festivals and a state fair for this weekend. Out of the blue it seemed you came down with a fever yesterday afternoon - you're first. You seemed upset and confused. You wanted to play but were tired. You wanted to nurse but your nose had started running. We spent all weekend at home cuddling and snuggling with you. Your dad cooked us delicious foods while we napped. We took breaks in the front yard letting you scoot around and play with grass - pausing to look up at the sky.

In one short month, you'll already be a year. Just like that. As much as it breaks my heart to see you uncomfortable it was a reminder of when you were a newborn. So little and helpless.

This month has been about watching you grow, play and listening to your voice. Trying to decipher what you're trying to say. Watching you eat new foods.

My sweetness.
