Boulder

This past weekend we took our first day trip to Boulder. We'd heard a lot about their farmers market and timed our trip with fall fest. Currently, they are revamping the highway out so it should be a much smoother drive soon. Doesn't hurt the views.

My first thoughts on Boulder, were how nice their downtown was - super clean and pretty. It seemed like everyone was out on a bike. It wasn't as hippyish as I had expected.

We loved the park downtown by the farmers market.

The market lived up to all the hype. We ate lots of yummy samples. I picked the taco stand blasting Caribou for lunch.

From the market, we made our way towards the fall fest which consisted of vendors setup along Pearl Street, a stage for live music and more food. Benicio was excited about the ice cream samples.

His favorite part was watching the bands. He did his own interpretive dancing with a hula hoop.

And eating popcorn.

It's funny. When Benicio gets tired, he has one more spurt of energy where he just wants to run. And then things kinda turn ugly. Screaming meltdown as we try to coax him back into his car seat - and then he falls asleep before we even pull out of the parking deck.

Here he is trying to free himself.

We really loved Boulder and hope to make it back up again before the market season ends this year.
